My name is Hannah Josephson and I am a 26 year-old Registered Nurse. I have been a nurse since I graduated in 2012 and in that short time I have worked in a variety of different settings: Maternity, LDRP, newborn nursery, outpatient OB to Urgent Care. Additionally, I have experienced some travel nursing in the New England area in Cambridge, MA as well as one of the top 10 hospitals in the country- Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Travel nursing is a challenging but wonderful experience, I highly recommend it in a heartbeat and often consider going back to it sometime soon.
Currently, my home base is the beautiful Burlington, VT where I work at the University of Vermont Medical Center Emergency Department (A Level I Trauma Center). I started this job in June 2016 and I am lucky to love the people I work with and love the job I have. Things get crazy sometimes and there are always bad days, but we have a great team and I am proud to be a part of that.
I completed my Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Vermont in December 2015 and became board certified by ANCC in April 2016. It has always been a dream of mine to be a nurse practitioner and to be a leader, helper and role model in the community. I cannot be more grateful for the education I have had and those who have helped me along the way. As of right now, I am looking for the right job for me, which may require me moving out of state.
I am passionate about what I do for work as well as what I do outside of work & in my free time and I firmly believe that in order to be happy in life, you have to have a healthy balance between work and play! When I am not working, I enjoy running, skiing, hiking and laying out by the lake with a good book. I also love going cute coffee shops and reading a book in the corner , I feel it takes me into another realm for awhile.
I would like to use this blog to write about my various experiences in work, life and school. It can be a lot to juggle sometimes, especially at twenty-six but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I hope to share these experiences with you all! My hope is that you can find laughter, solace, understanding and meaning from my posts. Please take the time to follow my blog (to your right) to get updates on new posts, or send me an email, leave me a message, give me a shout out on social media. I would love to hear from you!
